Here's the bare-bone places and dates. I'll post links and what I'm doing as soon as I've got it all nailed down. PLUS: there's more coming that's in the works, and I'll post news as soon as I've got it. Cross my heart.

SO.... please make a note in your calendar to join me at any of these cool places:

Monday-Tuesday, March 12 & 13, Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, Wyncote, PA. I'm 2012's Wenkart Writer in Residence. Monday, I give a workshop to students at the college. Tuesday afternoon, I'm doing a performance open to the public.

Wednesday, March 24 - University of Lethbridge in Lethbridge, Alberta CA. OUTspoken conference. I'll be giving the closing keynote.

Wednesday, March 28 - SUNY Oneonta, Oneonta NY

Friday-Sunday, March 30-Apr 1, Momentum Conference, Washington DC. Barbara Carrellas and I are attending. Neither of us is speaking or on a panel or anything. We're just attending to learn and enjoy some time with tribe and family.

The Following Dates May Also Include Readings at Local Bookstores & Libraries

You can book me for these through Beacon Press: melwani at beacon dot org

I'll post updates as soon as I get them.

Saturday, April 21 - University of North Dakota, Grand Forks ND

Sunday, April 22 - North Dakota State University, Fargo ND

Wednesday-Thursday, April 25-26, University of Missouri, Columbia MO. I'll be performing, leading a workshop and... ::drumroll:: ...I'll be the Grand Marshall of their Pride March. Ha!

Tuesday, May 1 - Dixon Place, New York City NY - BOOK LAUNCH of my memoir - I'll read and answer any questions. Details need to be worked out, but it's going to be something like $15 a ticket. Bluestockings Books will be selling copies of the book. Then we can all hang out in the Dixon Place lobby—complete with bar—and I'll sign books and chat.

Sunday, May 6 - MoMA PS 1, Long Island City NY - BOOK LAUNCH — details have yet to be worked out but it's gonna be fun.

Thursday, May 10, Rebel Cupcake, Brooklyn, NY - Barbara Carrellas and I celebrate Rebel Cupcake's 2nd Anniversary with hostess Bevin Branlandingham

Friday, May 18, 8pm, LGBT Center, New York City, NY — I'll be reading the raciest SM parts of my memoir, and conversing about them with a group of SM dykes, courtesy of LSM, as arranged by Sinclair Sexsmith.

Monday, June 4, New York City, The Bowery Poetry Club. I'm taking part in an evening called WE ARE THEATER, with The Guerrilla Girls—so you know it's going to be a kick-ass evening.

Friday, June 15 - The Center, Los Angeles, CA I'll be in conversation on stage with MARA KEISLING, founding Executive Director of the National Center for Transgender Equality. That's gonna be amazing.

Saturday-Sunday, June 16-17 - I'm doing two workshops for the LA Center and Trans Unity: one is going to be Hello, Cruel World: An Outlaw's Mini-Guide to Survival, a presentation which has become the basis for the forthcoming updated My New Gender Workbook. The other workshop will be much more hands-on: Your Gender/Now You See It, Now You Don't.

Friday, June 22, CBST synagogue, New York City, NY - I'm speaking from the pulpit in celebration of the congregation's annual Pride shabbat.

Friday-Sunday August 5-7, The Center on Halsted, Chicago IL - I'm working out details now, but it looks like I'm doing a performance of On Men, Women, and the Rest of Us as a fundraiser for the Center, along with a hands-on workshop for queer youth: Trans-formation in Acting.

The following dates are approximate, and there aren't specific plans. Beacon Press and I are still setting up this part of my Pacific Northwest book tour. If you've got any nifty ideas for me to do things on these dates, please let me know.

Saturday-Monday, August 11-13 - Seattle, WA

Tuesday, August 14 - Portland, OR

Thursday-Sunday, August 16-19, San Francisco, CA

STILL IN THE WORKS: Philadelphia, St. Paul, Boston, and maybe Albany are looking good. And several other colleges are close to finishing up the nuts and bolts of bringing me out—I'll post updates as they confirm.
